Paula Scher is a giant of modern graphic design. Before becoming the first female principal for Pentagram in 1991, she established herself as one of the leading American graphic designers of her generation. Also known as Americas first lady of design, she's an illustrator, painter and art educator in design. She began her career designing album covers for both Atlantic and CBS records (averaging 150 designs per year). During her career she has developed brand and identity systems, promotional materials, packaging, environmental graphics, publication designs, and has created memorable identities for clients such as Citi Bank, Coca-Cola, Tiffany & Co, Times Magazine, the Metropolitan Opera, the Museum of Modern Art and the New York Philharmonic, just to name a few (source).
